Chocolate Chip Lover Blondies

Are you looking for a way to get more chocolate chips into your life? Then look no further than these blondies! They have all the yummy flavors of a chocolate chip cookie, but I would argue they are even easier to make and can give you even more chocolate chips in every bite. Read on to find out how to make this quick and easy treat.

Mix the Blondie Batter

When I said this was an easy recipe, I wasn’t kidding. Follow these simple steps to prepare the batter. You can use an electric mixer or manually mix with a sturdy wooden spoon or rubber spatula (but be warned, this may take some elbow grease!)

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt and set it aside.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

  3. Add one egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract (optional) and mix until combined.

  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.

  5. Fold in one cup of chocolate chips. You can use any combination of chocolate chips of your choosing - I used half white chocolate and half dark chocolate. You can even use peanut butter chips or butterscotch chips if you want a different flavor.

Prepare an 8-inch square pan by brushing the bottoms and sides with melted butter and lining with parchment paper, leaving a little bit overhanging the edge of the pan for easy removal.

Bake the Blondies

Bake the blondies at 350°F for 25-30 minutes. When ready, the edges of the blondie will be golden brown and the middle will still appear slightly un-set. The center will continue to set as you let the blondies cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes.

Once set, remove the blondies from the pan by lifting up the overhanging parchment paper. Cut into squares and enjoy!

Store leftover blondies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5-7 days.
