What to expect from Laura’s Bake Lab:
Original Recipes: New recipes are posted at least twice a month. These recipes are varied in type and difficulty. They may be a twist on an old classic or something you may have never seen before. I will provide variations, notes on ingredients, and tips and tricks whenever possible.
Flavor Experiments: I have always loved playing with flavor - whether that be utilizing traditional flavor pairings in unconventional ways or trying out completely off the wall flavor combinations. The recipes I post will not shy away from this mindset, so be ready to open your mind to new flavor experiences, often using a seasonal ingredient as a starting point.
Baking Science: Have you ever wondered what baking soda actually does? Or why recipes often tell you not to overmix? Well, you’ve come to the right place! Once a month or so I will bring you a baking science post to explain the physical and chemical phenomena at work in your favorite recipes.
